About Me
Aina Izham is a video and engagement journalist and uses both concentration and specialty to shed light on issues faced by marginalized communities. A masters candidate of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in the Engagement Journalism Program, she has been working with the Chinatown/Lower East Side neighborhood and made a news package and story regarding their fight against developers. To strengthen her engagement skills, she was the Online Engagement Intern at the Solutions Journalism Network to find new ways to engage with their network. She launched a new newsletter for the network called the Snack Table and has curated for The Response newsletter. She's looking for opportunities to further engage with audiences in BIPOC spaces.

Worked with the Network Strategy team with social media visuals and copy, analyze data performance across platforms and test new ways to engage with our network. Launched the Snack Table newsletter, curated the Response newsletters and produced social videos for the network.
Worked with the production team on the pre-press, in charge of pagination for advertisement-related pages. Proofed incoming pages for the print edition of the Times Union and other publications circulated throughout the Capital Region
